Sami re-joined in April of 2024 for his second stint on the BTC Board of Directors. Sami grew up in Saint Paul, MN and is an alumnus of the BTC program. He joined BTC in middle through high school and served on the Board through 2020. He graduates this spring from Macalester College with a double major in Political Science and Classical Mediterranean and Middle Eastern Studies.

Sami’s passion for BTC is reflective of his time in the program and the support he received, enabling him to succeed in high school, college and beyond. He knows BTC’s mission is highly important o our community because he lived it. Sami is actively engaged in local and Minnesota politics, having managed two successful back-to-back local campaigns, as well as having chaired and supported multiple recent city council campaigns. He is excited to be joining the board once again as BTC looks to strengthen its expansions and partnerships with local colleges and universities.
