Mike serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Securian Asset Management, the institutional asset management subsidiary of Securian Financial Group, based in Saint Paul, MN.

His professional experience includes roles in the investment banking, insurance, and financial services industries. He has served in the Securian family of companies for the last 17 years, the first 10 of which as a corporate attorney. In his current role, Mike leads the finance, technology, data, compliance, investment operations, and client service functions in the execution of Securian Asset Management’s strategic priorities.

Mike holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota and a Juris Doctor degree from William Mitchell College of Law. He is also a Marine Corps veteran. Mike lives in Lakeville with his wife and two sons. In his free time, Mike enjoys time at the lake, fishing, golfing, and being a sports dad.
